Rita St. Clair, F.A.S.I.D.
-
Ted Pearson, A.S.I.D.
- My design career was born in the 60's
producing psychedelic posters for coffee houses in
Baltimore. I worked my way through college by assisting
urban planners & architects and broadened my scope with
an internship in Exhibit Design at the Hirshhorn Museum at
the Smithsonian Institution. In 1976 I graduated Magna Cum
Laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a
B.F.A. in Interior Design and began my tenure at RSC as a
design assistant. My 25+ years at RSC has enriched my
appreciation of European and Asian cultures from which we
import their finest furnishings. Philsophically it has
enabled me to refine my design techniques in molding unique
interior architectural spaces that offer our clients
creative alternative choices that enhance their particular
lifestyle.
Joe Bowers, A.S.I.D.
- I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
in Interior Design from Richmond Professional Institute in
1968. I am a professional member of the American Society of
Interior Designers and have over 30 years of diversified
design experience with Rita St.Clair Associates. My work
covers a high concentration of residential interiors as well
as corporate offices, institutional projects and sales
marketing models. Projects over the years have ranged from
total renovation of existing spaces to collaboration with my
Clients on concepts for the proposed construction of a new
home or apartment. I feel successful communication is the
most important component in a relationship between Designer
and Client in order to bring the job to the desired
conclusion.
Peter Bartels
- I graduated from the University of
Cincinnati 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Interior
Design and have been with the firm since 1982. Before
joining the firm, I worked for various interior design and
architecture firms after graduation, and through my college
co-operative work study program. Since joining Rita St.Clair
Associates, I have worked on residential, contract and
hospitality design projects. I realized that being involved
in diverse aspects of Interior Design challenges my
creativity, therefore, I do not become stagnate. I'm always
meeting new challenges, refining my design sense, and
realizing that various design solutions can be applied
between the different disciplines of Interior Design. I feel
it is important to listen to the client's needs, guide them
in the right direction, and not to follow the latest design
trends. I believe that life is an evolutionary process of
continual learning and refining ones talents.
Brian Thim
- I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
in Interior Design from the Maryland Institute College of
Art and became part of the Rita St.Clair Associates design
team in 1986. I currently hold the Contractors License for
the firm and am an active allied member of the Restaurant
Association of Maryland. Working on both renovation and new
construction, my design experience includes a well balanced
mix of both residential and contract interiors. Whether it is
producing a full set of Interior Design working drawings or
specifications, no task is too big or too small. I feel that color plays
a major role in how we perceive and react to our environment.
